Control applications 

- Chair: Prof Dr Yoshihiro Matsui, Tokyo National College of Technology

- Scope: Control technologies play important roles in the realization of new technologies in various fields. In this session, control applications in power electronics, scheduling algorithm, robotics, human motion control, navigation and plant modeling will be discussed.


Advanced Techniques in Applications, Signal Processing and Hardware Design

- Chair: Prof Dr Tomoaki Sato, Hirosaki University

- Scope: This special session addresses important key and essential techniques for ICT (Information and Communication Technology) evolution, which brings changes to society. Development of advanced applications requires state-of-the-art hardware design, signal processing techniques and efficient computer network system, the realization of efficient computer network system is required for advanced signal processing techniques and hardware design. The purpose of this special session is to have a presentation and discussion on advanced techniques in applications, signal processing and hardware design that require a close relationship.


Future Internet and New Network Services

- Chairs: Asst Prof Dr Chaodit Aswakul, Chulalongkorn University and Assoc Prof Dr Sinchai Kamolphiwong, Prince of Songkla University

- Scopes: This session is aimed for addressing of recent R&D advances in future interenet research and new network services. The scope ranges from the underlying network platform evolutions, future internet architecture, heterogeneous next-generation wireless network technologies, as well as emerging service possibilities enabled by networked devices.


Green Energy and Electric Transportation

- Chairs: Assoc Prof Dr Thanatchai Kulworawanichpong, Asst Prof Dr Somsak Vanijanantachai; Asst Prof Dr Thipwan Fangsuwannarak, Suranaree University of Technology

- Scope: This special session targets in green energy and electric transportation related to creation of new ways in the context of sustainable development. Topics include, but are not limited to, Solar energy and wind energy, Small-scale hydro power plant,    Biomass power plant and gasification, Smart-grid with renewable energy integration, Electric vehicle and battery charging, Electric railway and traction system, Railway signaling and train traffic control.


MIMO and Smart Antenna Technologies

- Chairs: Assoc Prof Dr Peerapong Uthansakul and Assist Prof Dr Monthippa Uthansakul, Suranaree University of Technology

- Scope: This session focuses on advanced techniques for multiple-antenna communications and explores both candidates on multiple-antenna technologies in conjunction with the most modern techniques, namely Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) and Smart Antenna; The scope includes, but is not limited to: Space-Time-Frequency Coding Schemes, Smart antenna and MIMO Techniques, MIMO for Cooperative Networks and HetNets, MIMO for Cognitive Radio Networks, MIMO and Beamforming for 4G-5G, Simulations and Measurement Techniques, Channel Estimation and Synchronization Techniques, Emerging Applications of MIMO and Smart Antenna, Multiple-User Communications.
